![]() He's the one you should barely be considering a boss. Enter a strange and unexplored world full of odd creatures, hidden dangers, and ancient secrets. He will chop down forests for you and get himself killed by treeguards. Fight, Farm, Build and Explore Together in the standalone multiplayer expansion to the uncompromising wilderness survival game, Don't Starve. Not sure at this point if intentional or bug, thanks. When I went back to the surface Antlion had respawned. His behavior makes it so that you don't even have to kill him directly. Killed Antlion 2nd day of summer, started spelunking and around day 7 in caves I got a cave in. It's also their behavior, abilities, etc. Boss difficulty is not just their raw stats. They're about the same difficulty to me, just different types of difficulty. Mobs to be mindful of: clockwork rook, deerclops, bearger, klaus, fuelweaver, toadstool, malbatross, and even antlion’s sand spikes. Catapults don’t effect statues although some mobs will destroy them simply by walking in their path. Sure, a Malbatross would lose to Klaus, but Klaus can get whacked in the face repeatedly while Malbatross kites you and messes up your boat. Mobs try to path between statues, however. Sure it would lose to a Deerclops in a fight, but that thing has killed me more than Deerclops ever will. That's why Ewecus is so high on the list. As TheTechnomancer said, the desert goggles recipe its found fishing in the oasis (i recomend you get some food, 2 or 3 fishing roods and build and. Malbatross spawns this way and does not fit in the other categories. The desert biome its divided in two areas, in one (where you have sandstorms all the summer) you need the desert goggles to move in, there you will find the antilion. For that reason, I think Tallbird and MacTusk is dumb to include in retrospect. I like Don't Starve being hard, but it was actually inescapable.I classified them as a Mini-Boss based on the very loose standard of "Encounter." They spawn into your world usually on accident by doing something specific. On top of that I think the need to appease the antlion is downright ridiculous, but I'm sure I can mod it out if in our next world if it just proves to make the game less fun (Keep in mind, I enjoy having my games be as difficult as possible). The Antlion can be given a stage 1, 4 or 5 Thermal Stone to start combat. The players can either appease or kill it, otherwise, it creates sinkholes on the surface and causing cave-ins inside caves near players. It appears in the Desert biome during Summer Season. I just think it's the first time I genuinely died from something in this game that was absolutely 100% out of my control, and I have about 200 hours invested in this game so far. The Antlion is a Mob exclusive to Don't Starve Together, introduced in A New Reign. Yeah, it won't happen again now that I know there's some ridiculous mechanic where I need to periodically appease some mob (and according to the wiki, it's very expensive to keep him appeased). The first time I ever got the antlion warning was just before I died, surely there's a bug. Along with most other mobs, he can be kited to go away from your base and left somewhere else given you distract him a lot. As I said, I didn't even get any of the "warnings" (I left my PC once during this play session that lasted late winter until early summer in-game to make tea, I was away from it for less than a minute), so I can't be expected to look up something I didn't even receive.ĭeerclops gets a series of warnings that last quite a while, and he spawns away from your base. How am I supposed to be blamed here? Everything was absolutely out of my control. But I couldn't move very far because i was about to die from overheating so I needed the ice pit. So, in fact did take a pre-emptive measure to avoid being killed. Our journey through the lives of our beloved survivors has reached it's end, but what about all the horrors that our survivors need to face within The Consta. A lot has been added since, you expect us to go through every single entry on the wiki regarding what's been added? When the shaking happened I also ran around a lot in case something was about to fall, there isn't exactly an indicator as to where the sinkholes would happen. Considering that to win in the story category, one needs a story to begin with, the spoils of victory go to Don't Starve. The antlion was added 2 months ago, as I said it's been a very long time since we last played DST. Unlike the main game, Don't Starve Together doesn't feature any plot, simply putting the characters in the alternate dimension and forcing them to work together to survive. Plus, how is a boss that was implemented for a while now, but you guys didn't find out yourselves bullshit? I have about 200 hours in DS and DST combined, I wouldn't think I've made a newb mistake.įriend told me that his screen shook a few days before his death but that didn't happen to me, there was a few moose goose nearby so I just assume he got it from that. What are the "warnings" beyond the screen shakes? I haven't had a single one that was discernible from anything else in the game that I've known about.
